My favourite Dramas of the Year!

Hey Everybody, 2018 is coming to an end.
Kuro is not impressed that the year is coming to an end.

Who is in an unbelievable state as I am? I can't believe another year is going to pass by again. This is another reminder to myself that I am getting another year older. SOBS...

Well, since the 2018 is ending...
I thought why don't I do my most favourite drama post again?!
HAHAHA.
This is purely my own opinions and taste. You may not agree and think I am being nonsensical or so biased. HAHA. Oh well. What can I do? I will still tell you my favourite dramas of the year.

This year I have been such a lazy viewer. I shall be honest and tell you that I watched a lot of dramas premiering and did not finish a lot of dramas. I dropped those dramas because they either are just not my type, their acting(s) just irked me, the plot is so damn boring or laziness just kicks in. HAHAHAHA.
Despite, all the excuses, I still managed to finish few dramas and that actually made it so much easier for me to list down my favourite dramas. Do note that I will only be explaining why I love these dramas and not writing down the synopsis since synopsis can be easily found on Google. LOL.

5. Hand: The Guest
This drama is scary to watch (obviously since it's classified as a horror genre).
Although this is horror, it has such an amazing plot. It is so good from the start till the end. I couldn't stop watching after an episode. I am very touched to see the three main casts to be so close with one another throughout this drama (although they met at such an unfortunate and unpleasant circumstances). It can be a sensitive issue since religion is mentioned and used in this drama. However for me, a good plot is all I need from a drama. Apart from the good plot, the acting from the male lead was so good. It was so pleasing to watch him. I don't feel annoyed or turned off while watching him, he makes the drama feels worthy to watch. Not that the other leads are bad, they are good but the male lead just shows how amazing he is an as actor.
With such a good plot and not a nonsensical plot (some horror genre is just scare but no meaning), plus good acting, this drama makes it to my top 5 dramas I watched this year.

4. Hundred Days My Prince
When it comes to plot alone, this drama is probably the weakest in my list. As I probably know what was about to happen in the drama and nothing seemed new. However, this drama still makes the list because Do Kyung Soo has done such a wonderful job portraying the character Lee Yul (Crown Prince) and Won Deuk (When he has amnesia). His eye gaze and intonation are so well performed that I forgot he was an idol whenever he appears on screen.  He is either Won Deuk or Crown Prince while watching. It has come to the point where anything with him in, I would definitely want to watch or try to watch (well, some dramas can be so disappointing that even the cast can't save it. LOL!).  Also, the cinematography of this drama is so pretty! With the BGM and bit of filter, it made the drama looks super classy and wonderful to watch. Plus point, all the casts (including the supporting) are good in acting. The plot might be typical, however, you will still want to watch this drama because it's not super dramatic or exaggerated and you probably just want to see something pretty on your screen.

3. Thirty but seventeen
When it comes to fluffiness and simplistic, this drama will not disappoint. Although this drama has minor loopholes, I remembered laughing and enjoying it. The best thing about this drama is the wise phrases that have impacted me.

They say, “When one door to happiness closes, another door to happiness opens up for you”. But many of us are only focused on the closed door, and don’t even realize that another door has opened up. Perhaps, the other door to happiness might not be something grand or special. Perhaps, the small and trivial things that look insignificant, are other doors to happiness.

I also like the fact that no one is truly villainous. Everyone was so sweet, kind, lovely and human being humane. It's such a simple drama yet powerful because the phrases are so meaningful and helpful for me to go with my daily life.

AND AND the leads are also adorable, I just CAN'T! They are not powerful actor & actress but they have touched my heart through this drama. So much fluffiness~ HAHAHA.
Since I can't forget and shut up about this drama, I just know it has to be on my list.

2. The Miracle We Met
Ah, this drama is so good. All of them acted so well! If this drama doesn't win any award, I will rage!!!
I cried while watching this drama because it is just so sad. Although the ending is nicely done, the rest was so painful to watch. I felt so bad for the wives, even worse for wife (Yeon Hwa). A fantasy drama that is worth watching because there are so many things you can learn from it.
It acts as a reminder for us that a loss is not something anyone can deal with easily.
Sometimes money isn't everything. It looks pretty on the outside but you never know what that individual is losing out.
As the main casts are veteran, it is super easy to get immersed in the drama. Time passed so quickly while I was watching it. I didn't feel bored or felt some scene was unnecessary and the pacing was smooth. The drama has done well in every aspects of what a GOOD drama is.
With the strong acting and great plot, I feel this drama deserves the second spot!

Humans aren’t as strong as we think.
After making a mistake like this…
how can we compensate them?

1. Live
One word: Amazing.
I love how this drama brings in mental health, trauma and daily life situations in a very pleasant way to watch.
I feel like I can trust Writer, Noh Hee Kyung.
In this drama, no one is perfect. NO ONE! It is very humane thus making this drama super heartwarming to watch.
If watching a drama makes me think of life and what I can learn from it, the drama will bury itself and fill a space in my heart.
Live has found a special space in my heart and soul. Personally for me, it is a very impactful and powerful drama.
The plot is unpredictable and I love it. Binge watching this drama was a good choice. I didn't have to wait so long for the following episode.
There wasn't any bad acting in this drama and I fell in love with Yang Chon and Jang Mi couple.
The OSTs are nice too. They fit so well with the drama.
I cried so much watching this drama because it makes me feel thankful and appreciative.
It also reminds me that we are always quick to judge someone, sometimes we should cool down and take a minute to get to know more about them.
Not everyone is willing to share and we should respect that.
Plus, humans always make mistakes and mistakes make us learn and grow. If we refuse to learn, we will never grow. Sang Soo is a good representation for that.
I love the imperfect characters the writer introduced to us. I can't believe I grew to love all those imperfections and the characters development are neatly represented throughout this drama.
Live is a masterpiece that words can't describe how amazing it is.
I hope the writer writes another masterpiece which involves social issues and prejudices. We can always learn something from that.

Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the cards!

DIY XMAS Cards!

Materials needed:

 Drawing block

Plastic wrapper/ Book plastic cover/ Zip lock

 Glitter/ Metallic confetti

 Scotch tape

 A pair of scissors

 Glue stick

Buttons

Additional materials:
Pencil
Markers

DIY confetti card:

Fold the drawing block into half.
Then draw a shape on the drawing block using pencil. (I drew a triangle.)

Cut the shape out of the drawing block.

Then make a simple plastic wrap to contain the metallic confetti. (If you have a ziplock, just fill it with the confetti! It is important that the plastic wrap is better than the shape you have cut out!)

Tape the plastic wrap to the drawing block with the shape that has been cut out.

Take a piece of drawing block and paste it over.

I used washi tape to cover the rough edges that has another piece of drawing block.

Then use marker and decorate the cover with the confetti!

I also made a square shape!

DIY Christmas Snow Globe

Since Christmas is coming, what other perfect timing is it to make some simple, cheap and easy DIY gifts!

Today, I will be teaching you how to make Snow Globe in the most cheapest and simplest way! I am aware that there are plenty of tutorials on this DIY. However, I decided to make my own since some materials are not available in my COUNTRY (Singapore)!

Let's start!!!

Materials needed:

  1. Clear Liquid Glue (IT HAS TO BE CLEAR! NO WHITE GLUE!) - Daiso
  2. Warm water - Home
  3. Mason Jar/ Sauce Jar - Daiso/ Home
  4. Glitter - Popular bookstore
  5. Metallic Confetti (Optional) - Daiso
  6. Small figurines- Daiso
  7. Super glue/ Hot glue - Value dollar
Total Costs (3 snow globes): ~$12

Step:

Use super glue and stick the figurine to the jar cap.
Leave it for about 6-24hours. (I only waited for 6 hours for my figurine to stick!)

Check if the figurine stays on the jar cap when it is tilted upsize down. (I didn't take photo with the snowman so the figurine is Santa instead! LOL.)
If the figurine stays, you can start to pour glue into the jar. I pour about 1/2 of the jar, you can add more if you! (If you add more glue, the slower the glitters will take to settle to the bottom of the jar!)

Sprinkle some glitter and metallic confetti into the jar. (I feel that I've used too much, so little bit is enough!)

Pour warm water into the jar and leave about 1/8 of the jar empty.
Cover the jar with the cap!
Now, you can begin to shake your snow globe!!!

Tips:
  • You may want to use baby oil instead of glue! It will make the movement of the glitters smoother. (I use clear glue since it is cheaper.)
  • Also distilled water is recommended since it doesn't contain any impurities and the water is cleaner over the time.
  • You can hot glue around the cap so as to prevent the cap from being too loose! (My hot glue wasn't with me hence I did secure the cap!)
  • If you are craftier, you may want to create your own craft using clay! OR you can print pictures then laminate them!

Simple Sling Canvas Bag DIY!

KIKI~

December is here~
Are you guys listening to Christmas songs?
Well, I haven't listen to Christmas songs yet. I usually listen to them about 10days before Christmas. :D

As my post said, I am going to guide you on how to make a simple Sling Bag which is super durable!

Materials needed:
Canvas Fabric: 1-1.5m (Canvas is the perfect fabric for this bag!)

 Magnet Clasps (Bag)

 Bag Buckles

Bag Slider (LOL. I forgot what this is called!!!)

Steps:

Bag Strap
  1. Cut a long strap of fabric (65inch by 3inch).
  2. Fold the long strap into two with the right sides facing each other. (65inch by 1.5 inch)
  3. Sew along the length.

  4. Place one of the bag buckles to the end and sew it to secure.
  5. Insert the bag slider which allows you to adjust the length of the sling later on.
  6. Then place the other bag bag buckle to the end and sew it!

Main Part of the Bag
  1. Cut a big piece of fabric (17inch by 24 inch).

  2. Fold that piece to have a fold (17inch by 12 inch). I wanted the canvas to have a bit of curve, hence I cut the sides to have the curve.
  3. Sew the two sides. (Ensure that the right sides are facing each other!)
  4. At the fold, pin a triangle measuring about 2inches from both sides. I wanted to have a gusset at the bottom, you can skip this part if you don't wish to have a gusset.
  5. Sew them.

Zipper Strap
  1. Cut two straps of fabric (18inch by 1.5inch).
  2. Sew one strap to one side of the zipper teeth. (Leave about 1inch without any zipper touching the fabric on both ends!)
  3. Sew the other side of the zipper teeth to the next strap.

Bag Cover:
  4. Turn the fabric inside out to become the right side.
  5. Place the Magnet Clasps (Flat part) on the fabric and mark it using chalk or marker.
  6. Make a slit on the marked part (Only on one of the side!)
  7. Secure the Magnet Clasps (With the small magnet in the middle) on the slit you have made with the flat part on the wrong side of the fabric. (The right side should have the magnet!).

Loops:
  1. Cut 2 straps of fabric (3inch by 3inch).
  2. Fold the fabric (3inch by 1.5inch).
  3. Sew the sides.
  4. Turn it inside out.

  5. Loop it to the buckle!

Connect them:
  1. Sew left side of the zipper strap to the main bag (only one piece of the main bag).

  2. Sew right side of the zipper strap in between the bag cover and the main bag (the remaining unsewn part of the main bag).
  3. With the remaining zipper strap that isn't sew to any fabric, place the loop in between and sew them to close the bag.

  4. Using the buckle, connect it with the loop.

The last magnet:

Use the one on the right side of the picture!!!
  1. Place the Magnet Clasps (Flat part) on the main fabric (The one without the cover bag) and mark it using chalk or marker.
  2. Make a slit on the marked part (Only on one of the side!)
  3. Secure the Magnet Clasps (With the dented hole) on the slit you have made with the flat part on the wrong side of the fabric. (The right side should have the magnet!).

End product:

I managed to put my camera, water bottle, goodies from AFA, handphone and wallet into the bag!!!
This bag is such a good deal as it only costed me less than $10 to make. Also, it is super easy and fast to make!

I wanted to do a DIY post on the Kiki's dress I sew but I didn't take any pictures D:

Anyways, few people recognised me as Kiki on that day. HAHAHA. I guess my cosplaying was a success~

Recommended Drama:
Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter
This drama is funny and very light-hearted.
I laughed a lot while watching this drama.
The CG might not be the best but it is hilarious enough for you to forgo the CG.
Let's not forget that Moon Chae Won also looks super pretty and delicate.
Since I can't wait to see how this drama will end, I just know I have to recommend this drama!
